Training

Going on a Camp, for both new and experienced volunteers, can be a daunting task so we ask all volunteers to attend our training day, which is held on a Sunday in June, before the Camps.

During the day you will be given basic training in looking after others. This will include: hygiene, using wheelchairs, medical conditions you may meet, child protection issues and safety. We will hold question and answer sessions as well as group discussions with the Camp leaders and experienced volunteers. These will give you plenty of opportunites to ask any questions about the Camps and meet the other volunteers you will be going away with. You can find out more about the training here

On each Camp a mixture of experienced and new volunteers will ensure there are always enough people around who can answer questions and help out with any problems.

Please never be afraid to ask a question even if you think it sounds silly. Everyone is there to help each other get the best out of the Camp.
